About Dr. Nayo Williams, MD
Dr. Nayo Williams is a board-certified OB/GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist dedicated to advancing women’s health through compassionate, evidence-based care and clinical research. She specializes in high-risk pregnancies, complex maternal medical conditions, prenatal diagnosis, and improving outcomes for mothers and babies through collaborative, patient-centered care.
Dr. Williams earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Bucknell University before obtaining her medical degree and completing her OB/GYN residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She went on to complete a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at University of Connecticut, where she also earned a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Research.
Passionate about improving healthcare delivery and equity in women’s health, Dr. Williams has contributed to clinical research focused on maternal outcomes and racial disparities in healthcare. She has presented research nationally, served in leadership roles including Maternal Medical Director and Chief of OB/GYN, and remains committed to mentoring the next generation of women’s healthcare providers.
Before joining Valley Perinatal Services and Arizona Women’s Research, Dr. Williams spent several years in El Paso, Texas, providing specialized care for high-risk pregnancies and medically complex patients. She is known for her thoughtful, detail-oriented approach, combining advanced clinical expertise with clear communication and compassionate support for every patient she serves.
Through her work with Arizona Women’s Research, Dr. Williams is committed to expanding access to innovative clinical trials and advancing research that improves the future of women’s healthcare.
